I am a beginner sketcher so I had never heard of stomps before my drawing instructor introduced me to them. I love them but I can't compare these Jack Richeson stomps to any other. These are the only ones I've ever used and I am happy with them. They work like they are supposed to, they are good for blending large areas and moderately large areas. If you want a small area blended you need a tortillion. These are a good price for what you get. They are 5" long and about 1 " in diameter
