I love my smoothies and pack a lot of ingredients to create an almost milkshake consistency that is extremely thick and satisfying. My 25-year-old Oster blender wasn't up to the task. It simply didn't have the power to puree all the chunks of frozen fruit and greens. However, this Electrolux is true to its name. It really is "high performance" making quick work of blending my smoothies. I like its larger capacity and it is super easy to clean. Given the blender's rugged construction, I expect this unit to last for the remainder of my years.
