When I discovered this part on my blender was broken, I thought I'd have to buy a new blender. I didn't hold out much hope of finding a replacement part, after all, I didn't even know what it was called. Yet, by playing with different search terms in Google - and looking at image results - I found what looked like the right part, here on Amazon. Hooray! Then I looked to see if the part was compatible with my blender model. It was. After reading the reviews and paying careful attention to R. Celin's (and other's) specific directions on how to change out the clutch - plus looking up the YouTube video referred to - I disassembled my blender to be sure I could remove the gold nut. Once the nut was removed and the blender ready for a new clutch, I ordered the part. It took about ten days or so to arrive. Reassembly was even faster and easier than disassembly had been.I'm delighted to report that my blender is again working like a champ. I've been using it to make protein shakes and it's doing a great job of chopping up the ice.All I have to add is this: Before ordering, be sure that you check the model number of your blender to make sure this part is compatible with it. According to the seller's website, "The Cuisinart SPB7-20TXN Blender Blade Driver Clutch fits models BFP703, BFP-703, BFP703B, BFP-703B, BFP703CH, BFP-703CH, SPB-7, SPB7, SPB-7BK, SPB7BK, SPB-7CH, SPB7CH, SPB-7BC, SPB7BC, CB7, CB8, CB9, BFP-703BK, BFP703BK, CB-9, CB9, FPB-5PC, BFP703R, BFP-703R, CB-3, CB-4, CB-5, CB-6, CB-7, CB-8, CB-18, CBT-500, CBT-600, SPB-3, BC-56, CB-600FPPC, CB-600PC, & FPB-5PC1."(My model is the BFP-703.)Thanks to R. Celin for the great directions, and to all who added reassurance that changing the part out was easy. You were right! Oh, and thanks to Amazon for the free shipping!
