I think it's better titled Introduction to Blender 3.0 for v2.79 users since Blender's interface changed a great deal since v2.8. The first 130 pages are dry material that describes functions just like a user manual and the exercises in the 2nd half of the book may be a bit complicated for newbie to follow. I believe the writer is an expert on the subject. It may be a good textbook if followed with a tutor but I'd not recommend it to beginners or for self-learning.
